After back to back defeats, Sparks return home in an attempt to get back to winning ways as Tennant's side face a Sunrisers side who boast two wins from the first three games.
Wednesday's hosts have been away for two games running, and return home where they were last victorious against The Blaze. In the Sparks' last outing in Beckenham against the South East Stars, spinner Hannah Baker took career best List-A figures of (5-45). While before that at Wormsley against Southern Vipers, Katie George hit a half-century.
Despite the last two losses, there has been great character shown as the side captained by Eve Jones are on the hunt to getting back to winning ways. Sunrisers' captain Grace Scrivens, surpassed 1,000 List-A runs in a game where her side beat The Blaze.
The Opposition:
Having started the season with a win over Western Storm, they were then beaten at Old Traford by Lancashire Thunder. Andy Tennant's team then got back in the winners circle with a convincing win over Chris Guest's Blaze.
Sunrisers' overseas Nicola Hancock has been impressive taking seven wickets in her first three games, while Scrivens has held things down with the bat, top scoring on two occasions with (48) and (63).
Past meeting:
The sides would have faced off three times last season had it not have been for the weather, but in the two meetings that took place, the sides shared the points. Sparks defeated the southern side in the T20 competition in Chelmsford, while Sunrisers came out on top in the most recent RHFT clash.
Em Arlott and Grace Potts shone in the Charlotte Edwards Cup game, with bowling figures of (4-23) & (2-13).
Team News:
Sparks will be without Issy Wong for the game, and young seamer Ellie Anderson has been loaned out to the Western Storm for a month.
