Sparks have won three and lost two from their first five T20 games and are placed third in the table. Having lost the last two, Sparks head into the weekend's games looking for a return to winning ways.

With a strong start made to the competition, Sparks, led by captain Eve Jones will want to do the CEC double over the Diamonds and move to 17 points in the table. The Sparks bowling unit has been firing, with seamers Em Arlott, Grace Potts & Katie George taking batting orders down alongside spinners Georgia Davis and Hannah Baker.

Abbey Freeborn and Jones were both added to the PCA's Team of the Month for May after their terrific contributions with the bat last month. Under the leadership of Darren Franklin and Justine Dunce, Sparks can use the spirit, flair and freedom they have in their opening few CEC games, in order to come out of the next two games with some wins.

The Opposition:

Northern Diamonds: Saturday's opponents are without a win from their first five matches, and having recently been beaten by Sparks Danielle Hazell's side will want to try to make a late push in the CEC. With captain Hollie Armitage and Lauren Winfield-Hill in the ranks, alongisde overseas Erin Burns and Bess Heath, the Diamonds have some firepower.

South East Stars: Top of the table Stars are flying, clocking up five wins from their opening six with the other a wash-out. The southern outfit are picking up T20 wins for fun and with opening duo Bryony Smith and Sophia Dunkley scoring the majority of their runs, Stars are making an early competition surge for finals day.

Past Meetings:

Sparks have faced both teams already this season, the Diamonds in both formats while facing the Stars in just the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

In the match at Headingley, which was reduced to an 11 over game, Sparks prevailed victorious after Davis hit a winning two runs off the final ball. Before that, at Edgbaston, it was Diamonds who won a 50-over thriller.

The South East Stars came out on top in Beckenham back in April in the third game of the season of the RHFT, leaving Sparks the task of getting their first win against Stars since last July.

Team News:

Sparks will have a full compliment of players to select from for the weekend's games with team news available Friday.
