Central Sparks captain Eve Jones has been selected for an England A squad, who are set to face Australia in a warm-up game.
Having spent many years impressing with the bat for the Sparks and more recently Birmingham Phoenix, Jones was last week called up to an England training camp. In a game played between England and England A, Jones scored (101) and impressed enough to earn a further call up.
England A, who will contest in their own IT20 and ODI series against their Australian counterparts, captained by Northern Diamonds’ Lauren Winfield-Hill will play the senior Australia Women’s team in a three-day warm-up at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicestershire (15-17 June).
The Sparks captain joins up with England again to face Australia in a warm-up fixture.
