CHLOE BREWER ADDS A YEAR TO HER CONTRACT

Central Sparks are pleased to announce that Chloe Brewer has signed a one-year contract extension to remain with the team until at least the end of 2024.

Brewer, who signed for the team from the South East Stars last winter appeared for the first team six times during the 2023 season and will be hoping to make a bigger impact in 2024 after adding an extra year to her contract.

On her extension, the 21-year-old said: “I’m so excited to have signed for another year with the Sparks.

“Another year up in the West Midlands for me, which is very exciting.”

The batting all-rounder was a key figure in Sparks second XI and she appeared in both competitions for the senior team during the 2023 campaign.

Adding another year to Brewer’s contract is a big step forward for the 21-year-old, but also adds strength to Sparks’ batting order for next summer, with the expectation that the Surrey-born player will play a bigger role in the first team in 2024.

On the extension of Sparks’ number two, Director of cricket Laura MacLeod said: “Chloe continues to show real potential as a top order batter.

“She will push the batting group forward over the winter and into the summer season.”

With the winter block of training already having commenced slowly for the team, Brewer is excited to get back to work after earning another year in Lloyd Tennant’s side.

She added: “The winter block has already started, so hard graft is on the way and I am so excited to be back with the girls and hopefully we can get into a good summer after the next few months of training.”
